March is justice season at Lake Worth United Church of Christ! We have some amazing opportunities to practice love and mercy over the next few weeks.

Nehemiah Action

Thank you! We had 65 people on the nose from Lake Worth UCC join a thousand people of faith from across Palm Beach County join us at the 2026 Nehemiah Action on Tuesday night. Sheriff Bradshaw agreed to send the missing citation and written warning data so that the traffic stop demographics can be analyzed. He also committed to meet with PEACE regarding next steps for immigration enforcement in Palm Beach County. We were disappointed that only one commissioner, Commissioner Weiss, came to the action and he would not commit to advancing our affordable housing proposal. Stay tuned for more details. We will continue to work!

On March 28th and 29th, we will be at Bryant Park as we once again sponsor Palm Beach Pride. We will have a booth at the festival and March in the parade on Sunday (note: our worship service will be early, 9:30, on this Sunday). If you have not already signed up, email Pastor Jason if you would like to participate. He will send out tickets Friday evening. 

We have spent the season of Lent reminding ourselves about what the good news is. You can watch previous services here.

This Sunday we will be meeting at 9:30 in the parlor for an abbreviated Palm Sunday worship service before we head to the Pride parade. The first Palm Sunday was a protest march!

Maundy Thursday Service 6:00 PM 

Join us on Thursday evening at 6:00 PM for a service of scripture, music, and a labyrinth walk faciltated by Stacey Harter.

The Hope Circle Book Club

Lake Worth UCC Member Johanna Castillo is facilitating a new group, The Hope Circle Book Club. They meet every other Thursday evening in person in our office and online. They are currently discussing The Book of Hope by Jane Goodall. You can find more information here.

Together: Hope: A User's Manual

Our Together group which meets on Wednesday nights is currently discussing An Evolving God, An Evolving Purpose, An Evolving World by Sister Joan Chittister.

We are taking next week off and finishing up our discussion of this book on Wednesday April 8th in person and on Zoom. 

Spiritual Direction 

Lake Worth UCC member Stacey Harter is a seminary student focusing on spiritual direction. She is currently open to taking new directees. You can learn more about her and spiritual direction at Nautilus Spiritual Direction.
