Next Sunday, Pastor Jason will conitnue our new series, Entrusted. We will dig into the story of the golden calf and ponder what the "promised lands" and "golden calves" are in our personal lives and in our life togather. You can join us onsite at 1415 North K ST in Lake Worth, or at fcclw.org.

Neighbors in Need is a special mission offering that supports works of justice and compassion in the United States and abroad. Two-thirds of the Neighbors In Need receipts support program initiatives and direct grants offered through the UCC’s Justice and Witness Ministries.To see how some of those grants are being used, read these stories. 

We will be collecting for this UCC offering Sunday 10/22 and Sunday 10/29. As a church, we match whatever we collect to send to Neighbors in Need.

Join us for donuts, coffee, and conversation in the parlor after worship on the fourth Sunday of the month. Do you have questions for Pastor Jason? Responses to recent worship themes? Thoughts to share on how we practice faith, mercy, and justice together? Maybe you would just like to get to know people better. This is a new opportunity to do just that. We look forward to being together next Sunday, October 22nd. We will be having a conversation about the possibility of a name change for our church to Lake Worth United Church of Christ. 

Thank You! Hustle to End Hunger

Thank you to everyone who ran (Rex & Paisley!), walked, and contributed. We raised over $3000 (new total!) for CROS Ministries. 

Join us on Sunday October 29th after the worship service to a brief introduction to our church, the UCC, and what membership in our church looks like. We will then receive new members on Sunday November 5th. 

In this mini group we will take three weeks to discuss Arthur C. Brooks and Oprah Winfrey's new book, Build the Life You Want: The Art and Science of Getting Happier. The book is readily available in multiple formats and venues. Let us know if you need help locating one. We will meet at 6:30 on Thursday evening October 27th - November 10th online and in person at the office. You can find more information and register here. 

For the past 13 years our church has hosted a community meal on Tuesday evenings.  As we have been in the process of discerning how we might best serve God and God's people in the future, we feel our Communtiy Dinner is an important part of that work. In addition to a meal, we provde showers, laundry, hair cuts, toiletries, and food pantry. As we begin our dinners again in August, we need to replenish our pantry. You can help by picking up the following on your next grocery run: Pop-top Canned Fruit, Pop-top Canned Meat, Granola/Snack Bars. You can also donate funds here.
