The Christmas season is a time when the juxtaposition of the sacred and secular feels sometimes blatantly opposed, and sometimes quite blurred. The word “sacred” points to something dedicated as
“holy” and “set apart.” This year, you are invited to a spiritual journey of seeing ALL things pregnant with the Holy. What could our experience of the Advent and Christmas season be like if we lived it imagining that everything is reflecting the sacred? Join us for the Sundays of Advent as we engage the sacredness of all of life in word, music, and practice. This week, we engaged the idea of sacred time, waiting for hope. You can watch Pastor Jason's sermon on our website. Next week, we will reflect on the sacredness of all people. You can download a journal to guide your advent
reflections. If you are able, send us pictures of how you are practicing sacred time this week. You can email to pastorjason@lakeworthchurch.org or text to 561-891-9339. Order of worship here. |
Ornament for the Christmas Tree Do you have a Christmas ornament you would like to share with us during Advent? Bring a favorite to place on our tree in the narthex. |
We have
begun taking orders. A full menu along with the Order Form can be found here or you may pick up an Order Form at worship on Sundays through December 4th. You may contact Janet at 561-964-3749; jangolf@juno.com or Susan at 561-312-2586; madreqeenbee@gmail.com and/or susan@lakeworthchurch.org to place your order or with any questions. |
Join us for a meal following worship on Sunday, December 11. Bring your favorite holiday dish...from scratch, bought, or delivered! You are invited to join us for our Christmas Eve service at 7:00 PM as we continue to "reflect the sacred" in worship together. If you do not drive at night and
need a ride, please let us know so we can make arrangements. |

Have you explored the opportunity of electronic giving? You can choose to have a set amount taken from your bank account on a regular basis or you can make a one (or more) time gift by checking account or credit card on our website. Your regular electronic giving
means that your gift is available for ministry even when you are away (or forgot your checkbook!). Thank you for your continued support of the ministry of First Congregational Church!
