Dynamic Faith This past Sunday we were reminded of the faith of Sarah and Abraham. You can watch the sermon and find other ways to engage here. Preserving Faith Next Sunday
we will continue our exploration of Hebrews 11 with "Preserving Faith." Find Order of Worship

Potluck Lunch - August 14 On Sunday, August 14, following worship, we will gather in the Fellowship Hall for a potluck lunch. Bring what you are best at (from scratch, bought, or delivered!) and we will enjoy some filling fellowship. We look forward to being together. There is a sign-up sheet in the Narthex. |
Church Work Days On Wednesday and Thursday, August 17 and 18, from 10:00am to 2:00pm, we will be working at clearing some of our stuff out of the office and other places. If you are able to help, please sign up on the list in the Narthex. Please bring a box cutter if you have one. |
On Monday, August 1, the closing papers were signed for the sale of our property to Lake Worth Spanish Seventh
Day Adventist Church. As we move forward in faith, we are excited to discover how God is calling us to be a unique expression of the church in Palm Beach County. |
Thank you all for your generous donations of school supplies to North Grade Elementary. We were able to take a load of supplies over there last week. They were
much appreciated! |
Reaching Out We are looking to put together a group of people to help think about and plan ways to engage our community to let them know who we are as a church. If you would be willing to participate, speak to Jason. |
You can join by Zoom here: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/85986346973?pwd=THRaaHZLOVJ3L1lRUWg4MmNpSEFRQT09 This summer, those interested have been reading together Jesus and The Disinherited by mystic, educator, and activist, Howard Thurman. Famously known as the text that Martin Luther King, Jr. sought inspiration from in the days leading up to the Montgomery bus boycott, Howard Thurman's Jesus and the Disinherited helped shape the civil rights movement and changed our nation's history forever. As we struggle today with
issues of poverty, racism, and spiritual disengagement, Thurman's discerning reading of the message of renewal through self-love, as exemplified in the life of Jesus, resonates powerfully once again. We will gather
together via Zoom (click here) at 6:30pm for one more Thursday evening session. August 25 - Discuss Chapter 5 & Epilogue |

Have you explored the opportunity of electronic giving? You can choose to have a set amount taken from your bank account on a regular basis or you can make a one (or more) time gift by checking account or credit card on our website. Your regular electronic giving
means that your gift is available for ministry even when you are away (or forgot your checkbook!). Thank you for your continued support of the ministry of First Congregational Church!
