Campus Sale Meeting Update
Published: Sun, 11/14/21
As you know, we had planned to vote on Lake Worth Spanish Seventh Day Adventist’s offer to purchase our campus at our annual meeting on Sunday November 21st.
On Friday, November 12th, we were emailed another offer (see attached) from a realtor representing a property developer interested in purchasing the property.
Our negotiating committee (Steve Carr, Rex Fortney, Susan Peterson, and Betty Rigdon) met and agreed that the congregation should be given the opportunity, if they desire, to slow down this process in light of this new information.
Consequently, we will take two votes on Sunday. The first vote will be to determine the members’ desire as to whether or not to proceed with the vote as scheduled or to postpone the vote. If the congregation votes to proceed, we will then vote on the attached resolution on whether or not to sell our campus to LWSSDA. These will be two separate, written, anonymous ballots.
There is a lot of information attached. However we wanted you, as the owners of this property, to have all of this at your disposal as you make this decision.
We thank you for your patience, attention, and prayerful consideration of these options.

You may receive this email twice. In the interest of getting this information to as many as possible, it is being sent to two email lists that contain significant overlap.
