When the prophet Simeon saw the baby Jesus, he proclaimed, "For my eyes have seen your salvation, which you have prepared in the presence of all peoples, a light for the revelation to the Gentiles and for the glory of your people
Israel." Join us beginning January 9th for a new worship series, Enlightened: the Wisdom of Jesus. Together, we will engage how Jesus provides for us a wisdom path for life, an enlightened way of being. Find the Order of Service here.

This Sunday we remember the baptism of Jesus. We would love to share pictures of our own baptisms during the service. If you have pictures of your, children's, or grandchildren's baptism that you are willing to be shown in our worship
service and they are available in digital form (even if you take a picture of a physical picture) please send those to pastorjason@lakeworthchurch.org.

The Lord's Prayer Project
The prayer that Jesus taught his disciples and, by extension, us,
is recited by Christians around the world as a weekly, daily, or even more often, spiritual practice. It is a prayer that encompasses faith, mercy, and justice. Its words reveal to us what is important to God and, therefore, important to us.
We would like to make a video of members of our faith community saying the Lord’s Prayer, a video quilt of each of us reciting these sacred words in the way that we each find most meaningful, in the language with which we are most comfortable.
You can be a part of this either by recording yourself reciting the prayer or we can record you in person after the worship service on January 2 or 9. We would love to have as many people as possible participate!

Epiphany Pageant & 3 Wizard Potluck Has Been Cancelled!
Our Epiphany potluck, scheduled for this Friday, has been cancelled. As we are continuing to worship and work together in the midst of the increasing pandemic numbers, we want to balance being together safely and limiting exposure. We
want to do our best to practice some practical compassion by making sure that, when we are together, we are masked and distancing appropriately.

As another way of connecting with our congregation and our community, we have started a YouTube channel. Here, you can watch (and share) sermon and teaching videos as well as videos from our life together.
Go to our channel, subscribe to it, and share it with others. When we get to 100
subscribers, it unlocks some additional features we can use.

Facebook
First, go to our page and "Like" us. However, just liking us does not mean that you will see everything we post. Each of our Facebook posts only goes to about 2% of the people who like our page. To make sure you see everything, after you like us, go to the pull-down menu on the "Like" button and click
"Get Notifications." This way everything that we post will show up on your own Facebook wall. If you are on Facebook, you can keep up with what is happening "between Sundays" on our Facebook page.
| Facebook Live
As much as we love gathering together on Sunday mornings, there are times when we are out of town or otherwise unable to be there in person.
You can now watch our worship service live on Facebook right on your computer, tablet, or smart phone. At 10:30 on Sunday just head over to our Facebook page and join us!

Thank you for your consistency and your generosity in your giving during our current unique and challenging circumstances.
Have you explored the opportunity of electronic giving? You can choose to have a set amount taken from your bank account on a regular basis or you can make a one (or more) time gift by checking account or credit card on our website. Your regular electronic giving means that your gift is available for ministry even when you are away (or forgot your checkbook!). Thank you for your continued
support of the ministry of First Congregational Church!
