A Guide to Wholehearted Living
We are continuing in our worship series, "A Guide to Wholehearted Living." Each week for ten weeks we will engage one of the guideposts for wholehearted living from Brene Brown's book The Gifts of Imperfection. Check out our website for all the ways you can participate in this series.
This Sunday we engaged the guidepost of “Cultivating Resilience.” Next Sunday, we will explore the connection between gratitude, joy, and abundance.
Join us for worship at 10:30am on Sunday mornings. You can watch the service right here each week on Facebook or on our YouTube Channel.
See the Order of Worship here.

Guideposts Discussion Group
In addition to the worship series, we will have a book discussion group on Thursday evenings at 6:00 PM, beginning July 21. Each week, we will discuss the guidepost from the previous Sunday. We will meet in-person and via Zoom here. Each week, we will dig deep into the guidepost and work at how we might apply it to our lives.

Community ID's at August 17 Commission Meeting
Mark your calendars for August 17 when Commissioner McKinlay will be bringing forward an item before the commission, securing the acceptance and funding for Community IDs by the county. As a church, we have worked on this issue for the
past 5 years, as we believe it is an issue of human dignity for people of Palm Beach County. You can read more about the issue and PEACE's participation in it in Sunday's Palm Beach Post. (Click here to read.)

While we know that our church is more than our building, for the time being it is our building that has been the focus of much of our energies
We are currently waiting for repairs to be completed on the sanctuary air condition unit. These repairs will be a temporary fix for a system that will ultimately need to be replaced. We have received bids from two companies for replacement, ranging from $75,000 - $110,000, not including some electrical and construction work that will be required.
The air conditioning unit in Studebaker Hall is currently running at half capacity. We are waiting to receive estimates for repair and replacement.
We have responded to Seventh Day Adventist's offer for purchase of our campus with a counter offer and are awaiting their response. Our conversations with them have been gracious with all of us wanting our campus to be used most effectively to serve God and our community.
We give thanks for our Trustees and Church Council for the time and energy they have devoted to this over the past weeks.

As another way of connecting with our congregation and our community, we have started a YouTube channel. Here, you can watch (and share) sermon and teaching videos as well as videos from our life together.
Go to our channel, subscribe to it, and share it with others. When we get to 100
subscribers, it unlocks some additional features we can use.

Facebook
First, go to our page and "Like" us. However, just liking us does not mean that you will see everything we post. Each of our Facebook posts only goes to about 2% of the people who like our page. To make sure you see everything, after you like us, go to the pull-down menu on the "Like" button and click
"Get Notifications." This way everything that we post will show up on your own Facebook wall. If you are on Facebook, you can keep up with what is happening "between Sundays" on our Facebook page.
| Facebook Live
As much as we love gathering together on Sunday mornings, there are times when we are out of town or otherwise unable to be there in person.
You can now watch our worship service live on Facebook right on your computer, tablet, or smart phone. At 10:30 on Sunday just head over to our Facebook page and join us!

Thank you for your consistency and your generosity in your giving during our current unique and challenging circumstances.
Have you explored the opportunity of electronic giving? You can choose to have a set amount taken from your bank account on a regular basis or you can make a one (or more) time gift by checking account or credit card on our website. Your regular electronic giving means that your gift is available for ministry even when you are away (or forgot your checkbook!). Thank you for your continued
support of the ministry of First Congregational Church!
