During LGBTQ Pride Month, we will be celebrating gay, lesbian, transgender, and queer people, spirit, and faith. We are a church where differences in sexual orientation and gender identity are not only included, they are
celebrated. Each Sunday of the month we will hear about a different LGBTQ civil rights or spiritual leader and we will take a deep dive into issues related to LGBTQ spirituality and life together. This is a great opportunity for us all – LGBTQ and allies – to come together in worship, conversation, and community.
This Sunday we followed the expanding circle of inclusion in the history of the church. You can watch the service on our website. Next Sunday we will wrap up our Out in Faith series by exploring the "why" of that expanding circle as we engage "Why the Church Needs Queer Christians."
If you are on Facebook, please take a moment to share our Facebook post, including a video about the series on your Facebook page. You can find it on our Facebook page.
Join us for worship at 10:30am on Sunday mornings. You can watch the service right here each week on Facebook or on our YouTube Channel.
See the Order of Worship here.

Karen Christensen Retiring
After serving in the position for two years, Karen Christensen is retiring as our office administrator at the end of the summer. We are grateful for her time with us in that capacity. If you know someone who would be interested in this part
time position, please contact Pastor Jason.

Thank you to all who participated in our recent conversation concerning the possible sale of the campus to the Spanish Seventh Day Adventist Church. It was a rich conversation touching on who we understand ourselves to be as a church and our connection to our campus. Some of the questions discussed included if we would be considering the sale of the campus if we did not have a current offer, thinking about a
sale of only part of the campus, and when and where we would relocate after selling the campus. One thing came through loud and clear - our identity as an Open and Affirming, justice-oriented congregation is important to us. You can listen to the meeting here.

In-person worship is now an option for Sunday morning worship. For the foreseeable future, we will be together in Studebaker Hall until our sanctuary air conditioning is replaced. To maintain safety for those gathering, we will require masks
for everyone entering the building and we will place seating at safe distances. We will not be singing, but humming is encouraged!

Love. Period. - A Great Listen
Rev. Dr. Jacqui Lewis is the pastor of Middle Collegiate Church in New York. She has a book, Fierce Love, coming out in November of this year. She is currently hosting a podcast, Love.
Period., with the Center for Action and Contemplation. In it, she speaks with guests about love of self and others. If you want to further explore the importance of loving ourselves - ALL of ourselves - this offers a great perspective. You can subscribe to the podcast wherever you usually do so, or listen to episodes on Rev. Lewis' website.

United Church of Christ Events
The United Church of Christ presents several events during the week. It is a great opportunity to experience the diversity of our denomination. You can see upcoming events here.

This year, General Synod will be completely virtual. This is a great opportunity to be a part of this biennial meeting of our national denomination. We will register as a church and gather for some of the events. If you would like access to

As another way of connecting with our congregation and our community, we have started a YouTube channel. Here, you can watch (and share) sermon and teaching videos as well as videos from our life together.
Go to our channel, subscribe to it, and share it with others. When we get to 100
subscribers, it unlocks some additional features we can use.

Facebook
First, go to our page and "Like" us. However, just liking us does not mean that you will see everything we post. Each of our Facebook posts only goes to about 2% of the people who like our page. To make sure you see everything, after you like us, go to the pull-down menu on the "Like" button and click
"Get Notifications." This way everything that we post will show up on your own Facebook wall. If you are on Facebook, you can keep up with what is happening "between Sundays" on our Facebook page.
| Facebook Live
As much as we love gathering together on Sunday mornings, there are times when we are out of town or otherwise unable to be there in person.
You can now watch our worship service live on Facebook right on your computer, tablet, or smart phone. At 10:30 on Sunday just head over to our Facebook page and join us!

Thank you for your consistency and your generosity in your giving during our current unique and challenging circumstances.
Have you explored the opportunity of electronic giving? You can choose to have a set amount taken from your bank account on a regular basis or you can make a one (or more) time gift by checking account or credit card on our website. Your regular electronic giving means that your gift is available for ministry even when you are away (or forgot your checkbook!). Thank you for your continued
support of the ministry of First Congregational Church!
