Interfaith Thanksgiving Service

United in the spirit of the holiday, join area representatives from 14 local faith communities including Christian, Jewish, Bahá’í, Muslim and Buddhist traditions for an uplifting hour of music and shared inspiration, followed by a 30 minute service project packing beans and rice in collaboration with CROS Ministries. The service will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 10:00 - 11:30 AM.

Thank You
Trish and I want to thank you for the gift you provided to us on the occasion of our 10th anniversary with you. I was overwhelmed and caught off guard, not because I don't know that you are an amazingly generous congregation, but because I really do feel that the joy and privilege of ministering with you are mine. I look forward to what the future holds as we continue our sojourn. We are taking the beautiful 10th anniversary book with us to North Carolina to show my parents, but we will bring it back next Sunday for those who did not have an opportunity to take a look at it. Thank you again and happy Thanksgiving.

Peace,
Jason, Trish, and Emerson

Advent Book Study
Rev. Nelson Stone will continue the book study Meeting Jesus Again for the First Time by Marcus Borg during Advent. The group will meet beginning Wednesday, November 29th at 6:30 in the parlor.

Family Advent Evening

Join us on Friday evening, December 1st as we begin the Advent season together. We will start with pizza at 6:00 PM and then engage in activities of the season such as advent wreath making, and engaging how we will make room in our lives for the coming of Christ. While the activities for the evening will be geared toward children, everyone is invited to join us.

Keeping Faith: Sisters of Story

On Sunday December 3rd, First Congregational United Church of Christ, along with The Lake Worth Interfaith Network, will present Keeping Faith: Sisters of Story. For more information, see our website.

Beer and Hymns: Carol Edition

We are going to sing, drink, and eat all over again! Join us for our second annual Beer and Hymns Christmas Carol Edition.

We will once again gather at Aioli’s at 7434 S. Dixie Highway in West Palm Beach. Our wonderful hosts will again have beer, wine, soft drinks, and wonderful pub food creations for us to enjoy. The only difference is that this time, all of the proceeds from our purchases will benefit five families in need from North Grade Elementary. Richmond and Allen will lead us in all your favorite songs of the season.

We are looking forward to a great night together. As you heard from last time, you will not want to miss this.

As much as we love gathering together on Sunday mornings, there are times when we are out of town or otherwise unable to be there in person. You can now watch our worship service live on Facebook right on your computer, tablet, or smart phone. At 10:30 on Sunday just head over to our Facebook page and join us!

Angel Tree
Our church will support the Salvation Army Angel Tree project again this year. Choose your "angel" to shop for at the table in Studebaker Hall after the service.

Online Giving
Have you explored the opportunity of electronic giving? You can choose to have a set amount taken from your bank account on a regular basis or you can make a one (or more) time gift by checking account or credit card on our website. Your regular electronic giving means that your gift is available for ministry even when you are away (or forgot your checkbook!). Thank you for your continued support of the ministry of First Congregational Church!
