Stewardship Seminar
Are you interested in learning how to sustain and grow the financial resources needed to continue to fund our practicing community of faith, mercy, and justice? On August 6th and 7th, we will welcome Rev. Patrick Rogers, former CPA and current pastor of Fort Lauderdale United Church of Christ for a seminar on church stewardship. Listening, Learning, and Living
This Sunday, we engaged the story of Mary and Martha and explored what the story might have to say to us about our lives and spiritual practice. You can watch the service here. Engaging the Lectionary
We are engaging and experimenting with the Revised Common Lectionary, the three-year cycle of readings followed by many churches around the world. For each Sunday, there are three readings: one from Hebrew Scripture (the "Old Testament"), one from the four Gospels, and one from another part of Christian Scripture (the "New Testament"). For each week there is also a Psalm. We will be weaving all
four scripture passages into our worship each week in different ways including music and video. If you would like you can participate in reading the daily scripture passages leading up to each Sunday. You can find them on your Connection Card each Sunday, and on Pastor Jason's blog. Save the Date! |
