Looking for a Great Church?: A Great Commitment

This week in worship, we finished up our "great church" series by exploring "a great commitment" - not to an institution or creed, but to Christ, one another, and to our mission.

Since it was Labor Day weekend, many were away. I would encourage you to watch or listen to this wrap-up that brings it all together and invites us into a transformational commitment.

Next Sunday, we will be
celebrating Labor Day late by
talking about "God at Work."

Great Story of Transformation

NPR's "All Things Considered" did a story about a convicted bank robber who served his term, has finished law school, and is now going to be a law clerk for one of the top judges in the country. This is a great interview with the young man and the judge who originally convicted him.

Transformation is possible!

Online Giving

Have you explored the opportunity of electronic giving? You can choose to have a set amount taken from your bank account on a regular basis or you can make a one (or more) time gift by checking account or credit card on our website. Your regular electronic giving means that your gift is available for ministry even when you are away (or forgot your checkbook!). Thank you for your continued support of the ministry of First Congregational Church!
