Putting Our Best Foot Forward

In the next two weeks hundreds of people will be coming to our campus, to vote on November 6th, to shop at the Bazaar on November 10th, and to celebrate with us 100 years of ministry on Sunday, November 18th. We want to make sure we are looking our best when they come!

On the next two Sundays, we will be spending an hour or two after the worship service doing some cleaning, including some baseboards, window sills, and walls. We would love for those that are able to join us. Bring your grubbies (or just wear them to church, we won't mind!) and stick around to help! The Community Dinner Crew has graciously offered to prepare a light lunch for us both weeks (burgers on the 4th and smorgasbord on the 11th) so you don't even have to pack a lunch!

Join Us!

On Wednesday nights, November 7th, 14th, and 28th, at 6:30 those that are interested in learning more about our church and how we minister together will be meeting together in the church parlor. We are looking forward to receiving new members on December 2nd, the first Sunday of Advent. If you are interested in participating or would like more information, contact Pastor Jason.

The Waiting Room?

Are you in a "waiting" phase of your life? Waiting for a relationship? Waiting for a job? Are you losing patience? Have you lost sight of God in the waiting? The "Waiting Room" is a new small group for those that would like prayer and support while they are waiting. It will be facilitated by Richmond Schmidt and will take place at his home. Because of his schedule, this will be a group for "night owls" or "early birds," meeting on Thursday morning at 7:30 or Thursday evening at 9:00 PM. Email us if you are interested in this group.

Morning Prayers

You are invited to join us on Wednesday mornings for a time of prayer, song, and silence. It has been a life-giving midweek experience for those of us who have gathered so far. You can find out more information here.

100 Years of Ministry

On Sunday, November 18th, we will be celebrating 100 years of ministry in Lake Worth. We will be joined by special guests Lake Worth Mayor Pam Triolo, Regional Conference Minister Rev. Bill Koch, former music director and organist Chuck Zettler and Robert Hebble , as we celebrate together. After the service, we will share a lunch together. If you have not had the opportunity to sign up to let us know you are coming and what you will bring, please do so this Sunday. We're looking forward to a wonderful time together!

Online Giving

Have you explored the opportunity of electronic giving? You can choose to have a set amount taken from your bank account on a regular basis or you can make a one (or more) time gift by checking account or credit card on our website. Your regular electronic giving means that your gift is available for ministry even when you are away (or forgot your checkbook!). Thank you for your continued support of the ministry of First Congregational Church!
