Leaving Jesus

In this week's Gospel reading, Jesus and his disciples have a successful ministry moment in the feeding of the multitude. Jesus retreats to pray. The disciples leave without Jesus and encounter a storm. Jesus meets them in the midst of the storm, calms the sea, and gets them to their destination.

Let's continue the conversation "between Sundays." How do you know when you have left Jesus behind? Have you had an experience of Christ seeking you in the midst of the storm? Head to the website to hear this week's sermon, a great song sung by Bruce and to add your stories to the conversation.

Reaching Out

There is a sense that something special is going on at our church and we do not want to keep it to ourselves. We want to share it! Over the next few months, you will be hearing about new ways that we are going to reach out and share who we are with our community. We will be needing your help! Read more here.

Great Conversation

Join the Wandering Christian Conversation this Thursday evening. We eat dinner together at 5:30 PM then beginning at 6:30 we will be discussing Part 6 of Brian Mclaren's book, A New Kind of Christianity, "The Church Question." It's a time of great food, great folks, and great conversation!

We're On Facebook!

If you are on Facebook, head over to our Facebook page and "Like" us to keep up with what is going on at First Congregational United Church of Christ "between Sundays."

Online Giving

Have you explored the opportunity of electronic giving? You can choose to have a set amount taken from your bank account on a regular basis or you can make a one (or more) time gift by checking account or credit card on our website. Your regular electronic giving means that your gift is available for ministry even when you are away (or forgot your checkbook!). Thank you for your continued support of the ministry of First Congregational Church!
