Happy Interdependence Day

This Sunday we talked about God's plan and our opportunity for interdependence, the recognition that we are all mutually dependent on one another. Did you participate in one of the suggestions to honor our interdependence? You can find the list and share about your experience here.
June Stewardship Update

You can find a "snapshot" of our June finances here. Even though our giving goes down during the summer months, our ministry expenses continue year round. By enrolling in electronic giving you can make sure your gifts to the ministry of First Congregational Church remain consistent even when you are away. You can also give using your debit or credit card on our website by clicking the length below.

Wandering Christian Conversation

Join "The Wandering Christian Conversation" Thursday night in the parlor. We meet for dinner at 6:30 PM and gather for discussion at 7:30. We are currently discussing Brian McLaren's "A New Kind of Christianity." You can find more information on the group's Meetup site here

School Supply Drive

We are once again collecting school supplies for North Grade and South Grade Elementary Schools. You can find out more information, including the list here.

Sunday Morning Bible Study

Did you know we have a Bible study on Sunday morning? A group gathers Sunday morning at 9:30 in the parlor to discuss the day's Bible passage and devotional from The Upper Room. It is led by Cathy Austen and Ilene Wilson.

Connect With Us on Facebook

You can find First Congregational United Church of Christ on Facebook. "Like" our page and keep us with what is going on with our church and stay connected all during the week even "between Sundays!"

Praxis

Join us this Sunday evening, July 8th, in the parlor as we gather for our monthly experiment in experiential worship, Praxis. We share a potluck meal together at 5:30 and then at 6:30 we come together in song, prayer, and creative engagement with scripture. It is an intimate, participatory gathering and we would love for you to join us!

Thank You!

So many people help support the ministries of our church. Here are just a few of the many examples:

Ginny Somerville and Helen Green along with the Men's Fellowship and Growth Committee for their help with our great picnic on Sunday.

Paul Bennett for changing the lightbulbs in the sanctuary.

Trish Fairbanks and Jill Ellis for their work with our children in Sunday School over the past several weeks.

Harvey Littlefield for all of his extra work in support of the Guatemala Maya summer camp.
