Serving Our World

This Sunday we have the opportunity to gather at the communion table together.

On communion Sundays, it is also our practice to collect a benevolence offering to provide resources to help those in need in our community. To read a story about a family we recently helped, click here. Consider bringing an extra couple of dollars this week as we do what we can to share God's love in a practical way.

Also, we are collecting school supplies for South Grade and North Grade elementary schools. Your response to this has been phenomenal! We will be giving both of these schools several bags of supplies. We will be collecting for the next two weeks so there is still time to participate!
Ken Medema in Concert

On Saturday, August 13th at 7:30, Ken Medema will be in concert at First Congregational Church of Ft. Lauderdale. Ken has performed for decades music that speaks to multiple generations. In this concert, he will include songs improvised from the stories of those in the audience. If you have been to any of his performances you know that it is more than a concert, it is an experience!

If we have a group interested in going we can car pool from the church. Let Pastor Jason know if you are interested in going.

Let's Talk

Join us Tuesday evening, August 30th at 7:00 PM, for a conversation about our life together as a church. Click here for more information.

The More We Get Together...

Our website is helpful in keeping everyone up-to-date with what is happening "at church." But it hasn't been as helpful in facilitating us staying in contact with one another and actually being the church...until now...

From the Pit to the Palace

For the next two weeks, we will be exploring the life of Joseph as we continue to follow the generations of patriarchs and matriarchs in the book of Genesis and ponder how God has worked and continues to work in the lives of humanity.

If you missed worship this Sunday, you can watch Pastor Jason's sermon on Jacob's wrestling match with the stranger here.

We've Heard From...

We received a note this week from Karl & Judy Hilgert (along with a check to buy school supplies and personal items for our Community Dinner guests!). They are doing well and are continuing in their ministries that we came to appreciate so much during their time with us on the other side of the country in California.
