FCCLW Between Sundays 4/15/11

Published: Thu, 04/14/11

April 15, 2011

Next Saturday, April 23rd, beginning at 3:00 PM, we are having an Easter Egg Hunt and Cookout and inviting the neighborhood! Check out the website for the schedule and information. This is a great opportunity to get to know some of the folks in our community. Here is how you can help share God's love in a practical way to our neighbors:

Join us this Saturday, April 16th at 10:00 AM at the church as we blitz the neighborhood with door hangers (you can also pick up some hangers on Sunday to distribute throughout the week).

Take home a egg-stuffing packet on Sunday and bring the stuffed eggs back to the church during the week.

Be here on Saturday, April 23rd from 3:00 - 5:00 PM to help with the egg hunt and be available to interact with our neighbors who come so they know what a warm, welcoming bunch that we are!

Please contact Pastor Jason if you are able to help.

Passover Seder & Maundy Thursday Service

Join us next Thursday, April 21st, as we gather to commemorate the last night that Jesus shared with his friends and remember the events leading up to Jesus' death on the cross.

You are invited to join us at 5:30 PM as we enjoy a delicious seder meal together. (Tickets are still available for $15. Contact the church office for more information.)

Then at 7:00 PM, we will gather in the sanctuary for a service of scripture, song, and image, experiencing together the old, old story and explore the implications of Jesus' death for our own lives today.

No, Really, We Want to Know...

In last week's newsletter we sent included a link to a place for you to comment on what church means to you. So far, we haven't received any response. We would love to hear from you! Click here to read Pastor Jason's post, then share your thoughts below where it says "Speak Your Mind."

I Want to Be an Ass for Jesus!

Have you ever wondered about the donkey that carried Jesus into Jerusalem? We will imagine his story together as we gather for Palm Sunday.
