Share Your Thoughts...

Over on our website, Pastor Jason has posted an article and invited response to the question of what church means to each of us.

As we begin a new era here at First Congregational (2012 marks the beginning of a new century for us!), we might find it helpful to share with one another how each of us views church. What are our cherished memories? What have we appreciated about our church lives? What has been hurtful (or maybe just boring)?

God, in God's grace and wisdom, has called us together to be the presence of Christ in this community at this time. So maybe, just maybe, God is seeking to speak through those called to invite us into the work that God is doing here. Just click on "comment" at the end of the post and share your feelings and thoughts!

General Synod 2011 Information Meeting

Next Sunday after the worship service, Janet Lisle will be presenting information about The General Synod of the United Church of Christ which will be help in Tampa, FL in July. You can read more about how we are going to be involved here. However, the best way to experience Synod is to, well, experience it and Janet has as a delegate for the past two General Synods. Come hear and see what she has to present!

We Need Your Help!

On Saturday, April 23rd, we are inviting the neighborhood to an Easter egg hunt here at the church. The next two Sundays we will be collecting candy and other snacks to fill the eggs. When you are at the store the next couple of weeks, please pick up a bag to bring to church. It's a simple, practical way to share God's love with our neighbors!

Coming on Sunday...

Join us Sunday as former pastor of FCCLW and therapist Rev. Dr. John Button shares from his abundant experience on the subject of meditation.

"Restored"

What brings you comfort? What restores you? This week we take a brief look at one of the most comforting passages in scripture, Psalm 23, as we explore how God shepherds and restores. If you missed it, you can catch Pastor Jason's sermon here.
