Sunday...

Sunday we continue our series Road Songs by exploring together Psalm 121 from The Songs of Ascents. The great paradox of Christian spirituality is that there is some difficulty in beginning our journey (see this Sunday's message on repentance), but once we step out we immediately receive the support of a God who loves us, accepts, and wants the very best for us. Join us this week for great worship and the good news of Providence.

Imagine...

As our church continues to grow into what God is calling it to be, we are inviting you to imagine:

A campus that reflects the growth and beauty of God's presence and work in our midst...

...gardens that are a ministry to our community, providing a place to reflect and rest. If you are interested in providing your time, talent or treasure to making this a reality, join us for a dreaming session on Sunday, July 11th after worship for a dreaming session. A light lunch will be provided.

Worship that reflects the passion of our spiritual journey together...
...in styles and formats that reflect our diversity, not sentimentally clinging to past traditions or desperately copying current trends. Consider joining us Sunday, July 25th after worship as we begin to imagine what that worship might look like. You do not need to be a musician, just someone who wants to  be a part of faiclitiating the birth of new worship experiences at First Congregational. A light lunch will be provided.

A safe, nurturing, inspiring environment where our children and youth are formed in their faith...
Over the next few weeks Carol Lewis would like to meet with our families of children and youth to hear what you are imagining for the future of our youth and children ministries. As Carol looks toward retirement in November, we eagerly await what our new volunteer formation ministry for children and youth will look like and we want to know how you will be involved! You can contact Carol to set up an appointment.

The Big(ger) Picture

Sometimes it is easy to forget that our church cooperates and covenants with a larger church body known as the United Church of Christ. Together, we participate in ministries that circle the globe. For this week's prayer calendar for our global ministries click here. For next week's click here.

You can also find a newsletter regarding our state conference of the United Church of Christ here. It is exciting to see how our churches from around Florida are participating in what God is doing!

What Do You Play?

To more effectively fulfill our mission and engage younger generations in loving God, loving others, and serving the world, it is necessary to expand our opportunities for worship. Do you or someone you know play an instrument or sing? Let Pastor Jason know!

School Supply Drive

Throughout the month of July, we will be collecting school supplies for North Grade Elementary School. North Grade is our community elemetary school, two blocks north of our campus. It is an "A" rated school with competent, caring
faculty and administration.

However, a majority of North Grade's students come from
famlies that are economically
challenged and do not have the financial resources to pay for all of the supplies needed o make the most of the opportunities provided at the school. Let's
overwhelm the students and families of North Grade with our generosity! We will be collecting school supplies (the list is available in the lobby of the sanctuary) and money (put "school" in the memo line) all throughout the month of July.
