Loving God, Loving Others, Serving the World

March 20, 2010                                                                                                             www.fcclw.org

We are looking forward to a great day on Sunday as we gather for worship and continue our series on "The Many Faces of Jesus" as we explore Jesus, the Healer and Liberator and consider the  implications of this picture of Jesus for our own lives.

We also have several opportunities available after the worship service on Sunday, so we wanted to give everyone a head start in choosing what they would like to participate in.

The mission of Project Linus is to provide love, a sense of security,  warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new, handmade blankets and afghans, lovingly created by volunteers. If you would like to join us but need instruction in knitting or crocheting , one of our members would love to teach you. Project Linus will be meeting in the parlor following the worship service.

The orientation meeting for Unwrapping Our Gifts will take place in Room #3 in the education wing. This small group experience beginning April 8th, seeks facilitate a greater understanding of how we each can use our unique, God-given gifts to make a difference in our everyday world. You can find more information here. We will have refreshments in this 30 minute orientation meeting so you can go straight to room #3.

We will be spending a couple of hours doing some cleaning and landscape work around the church. So, bring your work clothes, grab a sandwich (provided), and pitch in!

Those who are attending Linus Project or Unwrapping Our Gifts can join us after their groups.
