 Next Sunday, February 28th, we are throwing a party and inviting the whole neighborhood! After our worship service, we will be firing up the grill, inflating the bounce house, and having fun with our neighbors. This is a great opportunity for us to spend some time with people that walk and drive by our church everyday and let them know what a warm, welcoming community exists here at First Congregational. We will also be accepting donations of school supplies and cash for North Grade Elementary, our neighborhood school and community partner.
If you can help in the coming week by handing out door hangers in the neighborhood, sign up in the lobby or contact the church office. We are looking forward to having a great time together!

Jesus Goes to Hollywood
For the next five weeks, we will be offering the opportunity to see Jesus through a different lens. Well actually, a few different lenses! Beginning Wednesday, February 24th, Pastor Jason will be presenting the series "Light in the Dark: Exploring Jesus Through Film." Each week we will watch clips from a few different films that contain portrayals of Jesus or heroes and heroines who are Christ figures then discuss how each confirms or challenges our idea of who Jesus is. Whether you can come to all of them or just to one or two sessions, it will be an opportunity to expand your understanding of Christ. Join us at 6:00 PM for a soup supper in the Fellowship Hall followed by the program from 6:30 PM - 7:45 PM in the church parlor. Click here to learn about each week's topics.Life's Healing Choices
We have two Sundays left in our series, Life's Healing Choices. This Sunday we will experience The Growth Choice. Once we move through the hurts, habits, and hang-ups that are holding us back, how do we continue to move forward and grow? We'll talk about some practical steps!
