March 15, 2015

On Monday night, our Justice Ministry Network attended the PEACE (People Engaged in Active Community Efforts) Justice Ministry Rally where we heard the latest information on the issues that will be raised at the Nehemiah Assembly, youth arrests and proof of identity for immigrants and we committed to a goal of bringing 40 people to the Nehemiah Assembly. However, our goal is to bring many more. The Nehemiah Assembly is Monday Evening, March 23rd at 7:00 PM. We will have carpools leaving from the church at 6:00 PM. If you have not indicated you are going, please email us to let us know. We are looking forward to a great night of doing justice!

Another Place

This Sunday, we spent time with the Ten Commandments and the story of Jesus throwing the money changers out of the temple, exploring the way God creates another place for us, away from the rule of Pharaoh. If you missed the service, you can see it here

Online Giving

Have you explored the opportunity of electronic giving? You can choose to have a set amount taken from your bank account on a regular basis or you can make a one (or more) time gift by checking account or credit card on our website. Your regular electronic giving means that your gift is available for ministry even when you are away (or forgot your checkbook!). Thank you for your continued support of the ministry of First Congregational Church!

Facebook

If you are on Facebook, you can keep up with what is happening "between Sundays" on our Facebook page. First, go to our page and "Like" us. However, just liking us does not mean that you will see everything we post. Each of our Facebook posts only goes to about 2% of the people who like our page. To make sure you see everything, after you like us, go to the pull-down menu on the "Like" button and click "Get Notifications." This way everything that we post will show up on your own Facebook wall.
