Souper Bowl Sunday
Thank you to our Men's Fellowship (and honorary Men's Fellowship members!) for
the great spread you provided for our annual Souper Bowl Sunday celebration. The
food and the fellowship was fantastic. Thank you kids for collecting money for
the hungry in Palm Beach County. The Seahawks pot raised $129 and the Patriots
pot raised $117. We hear the results of the big game did not match the
collection. However, the big winner is the food insecure served by CROS
Ministries with $246 raised. Thank you!
Human Trafficking Speaker
On Sunday, February 15, following the worship service, Becky Dymond, a licensed mental health counselor and founder/president of Hepzibah House, will give a power point presentation entitled Human Trafficking 101. She will share concrete actions that we can do to help respond positively to this very serious problem in the world and right here in Palm Beach County.
Lenten Study
Food Drive
We are collecting food for Christians Reaching Out to Society. C.R.O.S.
Ministries collaborates with people of different faiths and organizations to
create solutions to the unmet needs of people in our community. We collect food
for them twice a year.
This month we are setting a goal of collecting 75 bags of food for
CROS.
Boxed Macaroni and Cheese , Rice, Tuna Fish, Pasta, Peanut Butter,
Beans
Bring a bag (or three!) with you this Sunday! Music Ministry As our Sunday morning worshiping congregation continues to grow in diversity, the desire has been expressed that we explore a wider variety of music and worship styles when we gather. To do that, we need your help! Do you play an instrument? Did you play an instrument and are you willing to pick it up again? We want to worship in ways that connect with people of many cultures and generations. Would you be willing to accompany congregational singing on a guitar? How about a flute solo at the offertory? How are you willing to participate in our worship service? Let Pastor Jason know.

Ash Wednesday Service
Join us Wednesday evening, February 18th, at 7:00 PM as we gather to mark the
beginning of the season of Lent. We will engage in scripture reading, music,
prayer, and silence together. For those who wish, there will also be the
offering of communion and the imposition of ashes. As we enter this season of
spiritual attention, we will take the opportunity to be present to God and to
one another.
Coffee and Conversation
You are invited to join a new group beginning Friday, January 30th and meeting
each Friday from 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM in the Fellowship Hall for coffee,
conversation, and fellowship. See Janet Lisle for additional information. Reverend Ron Pearson Speaking

message born from his experience with his cancer.
Online Giving Have you explored the opportunity of electronic giving? You can choose to have a set amount taken from your bank account on a regular basis or you can make a one (or more) time gift by checking account or credit card on our website.
