Food Pantry Collection
![]() This Sunday will wrap up our February food drive for CROS Ministries. Our goal is 250 items. Items most helpful for the pantry are macaroni and cheese, tuna, rice, dry beans, and peanut butter. Let's finish big this Sunday! |
Hospitality Opportunity
Richmond Schmidt has a pastor friend who is doing some work in town next week and needs a place to stay Tuesday and/or Wednesday evening. If you would like to provide a guest room for a nice, Lutheran, female, Iowan pastor please let us know. Richmond will be taking her to meals, so all she needs is a room. Gleaning
![]() We are going gleaning again on Saturday March 15th. See our website for more information.
"The Daily"
Are you taking advantage of this new way to start (or end) your day? Each day on our website, you can find the daily scripture readings and links to inspirational devotionals. You can find it here.
![]() Our Sunday Best
Together, we are creating a time and place of welcome ![]() We want to make sure that every guest and member that joins us on Sunday mornings knows that they are welcomed. Would you be willing to be a greeter or usher on Sunday mornings, either every week or once or twice a month? Would you be willing to read scripture during the service? Contact Cathy Austen if you are willing to participate in this ministry.

Christs
Our new teaching and worship series begins Sunday March 9th at 10:30 AM. Body by God
You can watch the sermon here. Next Sunday, consider how God's concern for our physical bodies affects the way that we care for others. Online Giving
Have you explored the opportunity of electronic giving? You can choose to have a set amount taken from your bank account on a regular basis or you can make a one (or more) time gift by checking account or credit card on our website. Your regular electronic giving means that your gift is available for ministry even when you are away (or forgot your checkbook!). Thank you for your continued support of the ministry of First Congregational Church!
