For Thine Is the Kingdom...

As I write this, I am finishing up my preparation for Sunday's sermon, "The Prayer of Fulfillment." As I have spent time with this small, but powerful phrase, "thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever," God has gently but firmly been inviting me into the incredible opportunity I (and you!) have to move farther into living in God's kingdom, by God's power, and for God's glory.

This week, I have been brought into contact  and challenged by people who, in their own way are doing just that (read my blog entry here).

I am expecting God to show up this Sunday morning and I would love to share that experience with you! I hope to see you there!

Pastor Jason

P.S. You can listen to last Sunday's sermon, "The Prayer of Deliverance," here.

Begins in two weeks. Camp E.D.G.E. will be each Thursday evening in July, from 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM, with a light dinner at 6:00 PM. All ages are invited. More information next week!

Meditation Groups

We have two long-running meditation groups here at the church that those who attend find to be a powerful influence on their lives each week.

The Monday evening group meets weekly at 7 - 8:30 p.m. The Tuesday morning group meets at 10 - 11:30 p.m. Both groups meet in the parlor and begin with prayer and silent meditation followed by fellowship and refreshments.

The Monday evening has started a series on Mysticism in the Western Religions. In July, they will be viewing lectures from the Teaching Company on Christian mystics.

The Tuesday morning group is listening to a series on prayer and the scriptures by William Menninger.

Anyone interested in prayer and meditation is welcome whenever his or her schedule permits.
Community Dinner

Plans for our weekly community meal are going strong and your support has been overwhelming!

We have to go through the process of being licensed by the county for food service and then we will be ready to go!

Thank you all so much for your financial support and your willingness to serve.

We are still looking for a few good women and men to help out on a weekly, biweekly, or monthly basis. We have two organized, jazzed leaders for this undertaking, Sue Cone and Susannah Amygdlatsis, so you can be sure your valuable time will be well-utilized. If you have already signed up to help, you should be hearing from them soon!

You Know Someone...

..(we know you do, we have our ways) who will benefit from something mentioned in this newsletter. Show them a little love and forward it to them!

If a friend forwarded this email to you, first of all, thank them! Then subscribe for yourself at our website.
