Back Bay Mission Trip

The Back Bay Mission team is heading out Sunday at 7:00 AM to drive to the United Church of Christ's Back Bay Mission in Biloxi, Mississippi. Janet Lisle, George Copeland, Luke Copeland, Ruth Merchant, William James, Kyle Bennet, Jimmy Limauro, and Pastor Jason will spend the week working on houses damaged in Hurricane Katrina.

Please keep them in your prayers and keep up to date on what they are doing by visiting our official Back Bay Mission Trip web page here.

People Notice When We Notice People!

I have had two interactions with two different people who have each recently begun attending our church. They were complimentary of the music and the preaching. However, what both of them made a point of telling me was how much they appreciated being authentically welcomed at our church. One told me in a letter, that she...

Lights! Camera! Action!

We once again have videos of our Sunday sermons online, thanks to the generosity of Sue Dauphin, who donated a very nice video camera to the church. Our first video "The Prayer of Release" is available to watch here.
Make sure you have the lastest edition of Adobe's Flash Player (Version 10) installed. Let Jason know how it works (or doesn't work!) We will keep working on the quality.

We looked at the wonderful truth of finding release from resentment and enjoying the blessing of God's garce and forgiveness by forgiving others. This is a message that we all can use. So watch it and pass it on!

The audio version is also available here.

Next Week...

Pamela McCorry from Union Congregational Church will be preaching about "The Mysterious Encounter" from John 3.

Community Dinner

Plans for our weekly community meal are going strong and your support has been overwhelming!

We have to go through the process of being licensed by the county for food service and then we will be ready to go!

Thank you all so much for your financial support and your willingness to serve.

We are still looking for a few good women and men to help out on a weekly, biweekly, or monthly basis. We have two organized, jazzed leaders for this undertaking, Sue Cone and Susannah Amygdlatsis, so you can be sure your valuable time will be well-utilized. If you have already signed up to help, you should be hearing from them soon!

You Know Someone...

..(we know you do, we have our ways) who will benefit from something mentioned in this newsletter. Show them a little love and forward it to them!

If a friend forwarded this email to you, first of all, thank them! Then subscribe for yourself at our website.
