The Prayer of Release

I am really looking forward to worshipping together with you this Sunday and exploring one of the most important facets of our life together as the people of God. We will be continuing our series on The Lord's Prayer with the important phrase "...as we forgive our debtors." I will be talking to you about the why and how of releasing the resentfulness and bitterness which can torture us and keep us from experiencing and enjoying the wonderful flow of God's grace and forgiveness in our own lives.
And of course, there will be great music and the great joy of coming together as a family of faith.

If you missed last week's message on "The Prayer of Cleansing," you can listen to it here.

Peace,
Pastor Jason

Vacation Bible School

This July we are inviting the kids in our neighborhood to Camp E.D.G.E. This high-energy, weekly gathering will encourage participants to experience and discover God everywhere as they are enjoying great stories, games, snack, and other activities.

We would love to have as many hands as possible to help out with this and since we have gone to a weekly instead of a daily format, it will be easier than ever to participate. See, call, or email Carol Lewis for more information!

 Thank you & Update

We have had a tremendous response from from many who are ready to help out with our community dinners, beginning this summer. We have heard from several wanting to volunteer and have already received $500 toward our goal of $2500 in start-up funds!

This week, Susanna Amygdlatsis, Sue Cone, and Pastor Jason made a fact-finding trip to Faith Congregational in Port St. Lucie, who have run a similar ministry for the past eight years, to see how they do things. We learned we have a couple of hoops to jump through, such as health department licensing, but we also were able to see what a wonderful time of fellowship was enjoyed by members of their community!

Every Tuesday night from 5:30-7:00 we will be providing a free, no-strings-attached meal for whoever wants to come. It will be for anyone that is hungry for food or fellowship.
We're looking for volunteers to help cook, set up, clean up, and folks just to come and enjoy a meal and engage their table mates in conversation. We also need to raise some funds to help us get started. Our starting goal is $2,500.

If you would like to help, fill out a response card on Sunday morning, give us a call at the office (561-582-6691) or email us.If you want to send us a check, put "Community Dinner" in the memo line.
