Wild. Dangerous. ALIVE! |
Are these the attributes of a godly man? Think back to your boyhood: Remember the boyhood dreams that you had tracking dangerous villains, swinging swords, and storming the castle? Adventure is what God planned for you. John Eldredge invites you to join him in this passionate, daring, and wild at heart video series.![]() When Pastor Jason preached about men being "Wild at Heart" on Father's Day of this year, several men expressed an interest in exploring the topic. This is your opportunity to do just that! Be part of this life-changing, multi-media experience. John and his band of brothers will show you how God can help you fulfill the vision He has for your life, and how to be the man He wants you to be. If you are interested in this group meet with Pastor Jason this Sunday right after the worship service in Studebaker Hall or email him and let him know that you are interested! |
Meditation Groups
On September 8, the Monday Centering Prayer and Recovery group will restart weekly meetings in the parlor. Each meeting begins with a reading followed by music and 20 minutes of silent centering prayer. After our meditation, there is time for faith sharing and refreshments. In the month of September we will also have video instruction by John Main and Laurence Freeman.![]() Our Tuesday Christian Meditation and Prayer group will restart weekly meetings on September 9 at 10 - 11:30 a.m. in the parlor. Each week there is an inspirational reading, silent meditation, faith sharing, refreshments, and some video instruction. In September, we will be starting a college-level course on Hinduism presented by the Teaching Company. There's no homework, tests or grades! Both groups are open to anyone who would like to grow in prayer through a faith community. It is not necessary to attend every week to benefit. For more information about these groups, meet with Carol after church in the Fellowship Hall on September 7th. |

This Week's Sermon "After We Build" So what do we do when our building is complete, the project finished? Should we just stop? Should we go right on to the next project? This week we looked at some suggestions based on the story of Nehemiah of what to do after we build--we rest, we worship, and we inhabit. You can listen to or download the sermon here. A set of all five sermons in "The Time to Build" series is available in the lobby. Next Week ![]() Sunday, September 7th, begins a new series of worship experiences, Life Together. Over the next four weeks we will explore what it means to be a true community. Pastor Jason's first message in the series will be "Called to Community," and we will have the opportunity to experience community around Jesus' table as we take communion together. We would love to see you there! | |
